The process for changing your name will depend on who you bank with.

To change your name or title with RBS, you will need to visit your bank. You will need the following handy:
- Your deed poll or statutory declaration
- Debit card, PIN or proof of ID
You can change your gender marker with RBS without any proof of documentation, over the phone, in person or online via webchat. They also offer the use of ‘Mx’ as a title.
To change your name you will need to visit your bank and bring:
HSBC does not require you to have any proof to change your gender or title. They recommend you book a 15 min appointment with them so you get seen in your nearest branch without a wait. You can do that by calling them on 03457 404 404.
