On Sunday the 1st of September we will kick off Pride season in Dundee with The Rainbow Bridge Walk in support of LGBT Youth Scotland: a sponsored walk across the Tay Road Bridge from Dundee to Newport-on-Tay in Fife.
We want to create the biggest rainbow flag that Dundee has ever seen; rallying a colourful show of support and allyship that shouts about how important LGBT Youth Scotland's services are to the local community.
The Tay Road Bridge is 2,250m long (about 1.4 miles) and takes about 30 minutes each way to cross on foot. Each person taking part will contribute to one of the colours of the rainbow by carrying a piece of coloured card and (if possible!) wearing clothes in their designated colour.
We hope you'll pledge to fundraise for LGBT Youth Scotland, and you'll find an information pack below with some advice and ideas for how to seek sponsorship. All funds raised will go to our Youth Work Changes Lives fundraising campaign to protect our direct youth work service provision across Scotland, including in Dundee.
