Training: LGBT youth homelessness and the links to experiences of abuse

We are delighted to offer an opportunity to join our Youth Commission on Housing and Homelessness to explore the links between LGBT young people’s experiences of homelessness and abuse in our digital seminar on 16th June 2020.

Our Development Officer, Janice Stevenson, will be joined by LGBT young people from the Youth Commission for a 90 minute seminar that will explore the these issues and discuss the barriers LGBT young people face when accessing support. The seminar is based on the findings identified by peer and professional consultations undertaken by the LGBT Youth Commission on Housing and Homelessness.

We are particularly keen to engage policy leads, heads of service and operational management from Housing, Health and Social Work, as well as third sector organisations that provide support, advice or information.

No more than 2 people from any one organisation may take part and spaces will be allocated to ensure a broad range of organisations are able to take part.

Please complete our online form to express an interest in attending. You will be notified whether you have a space no later than Friday 12th June. Please save the date in your calendar until then.

If you require any further information about this event, please contact: Janice.Stevenson@lgbtyouth.org.uk
