Two months ago, we took the big step of reaching out to the public to fundraise in support of our youth work services across Scotland. We’ve been a little shy about talking about money in the past, so sharing the immediacy of our need for funds to keep our services running was new territory for our charity. We are delighted to say that the good will shown to us on social media and through our partnership work has translated into real results. At this halfway point in our campaign, we have raised an incredible £9,255 and are on target to hit our goal of £20,000 by the end of September.
The sheer variety of fundraising methods has taken us by surprise! We're really touched to see that lots of individuals connected with our campaign messages, many of whom have set up recurring monthly donations via our website. That kind of long-term commitment really supports the sustainability of our services.
We’d like to show off a small selection of the many generous fundraisers who have driven this campaign, which will also highlight the diversity of businesses and organisations who have rallied behind our cause:
We’re also extremely grateful to Mercat Tours, Wagamama St Andrews Sq and Glasgow Frontrunners for selecting us as their Charity of the Year.
The next leg of the campaign is a challenging one, but we have plenty to look forward to with some special partnerships with Edinburgh Festival performers, a Dundee Tay Bridge walk and lots more surprises around the corner. We need you to get creative, rally your friends and shout about our work as we push for our £20,000 goal.
Most of all, we need your donations!
