We have been providing vital support to LGBTI young people around the country for decades but now, in our 30th anniversary year, a lack of funding jeopardises our ability to continue to deliver those services. So, in June this year, we launched our first ever public fundraising campaign: Youth Work Changes and Saves Lives, to raise much needed funds in support of our youth work services.
Reaching out to the public and sharing the immediacy of our need for funding has been new territory for us, but we have been blown away by the support we have received over the past 4 months through website and text-donate giving, event fundraising and corporate employee-led fundraisers. We would like to say a big thank you to all who have donated to our campaign and shared it across their networks. Your donation will have a direct impact on the lives of LGBTI young people across Scotland.
Since our halfway point update in August, we would like to highlight some more of the many generous donations that have helped us reach a milestone:
While we didn’t quite reach our £20k target, we are grateful for all the support we have been given from individuals, community groups, organisations, universities, schools and companies that allowed us to raise an incredible £14,914.66. In addition, we are delighted about our new regular givers whose donations will account for an additional £1,572 per year. Regular donations are vital to us as they ensure we can sustain our services into the next 30 years and beyond.
If you would like to make a donation, you can still do so by making a one-off or regular donation via our website or by using our text-donate service:
Thank you!
