On the last Friday of February, we celebrate Purple Friday: our annual fundraising day. It’s all about taking action; standing up against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia, and helping us make Scotland the best place for LGBTI young people to grow up.
In 2020 over 100 schools, businesses and community groups took part, hosting bake sales, bucket shakes, raffles, dress down days and many more fun events. This year, due to the pandemic, some of these activities just aren’t possible but we hope the limitations spark your creativity and inspire new ways to fundraise and help us sustain our life-changing youth work services.
In 2021 we invite individuals to take part in our virtual Pass the Torch Relay. While in-person events aren’t an option under current restrictions, we ask you to contribute (from home) to the collective spirit which defines Purple Friday. Together we can make a difference to the lives of LGBTI young people in Scotland.
Take part in our virtual event:
1. Select a challenge for yourself
2. Fundraise or donate
3. Pass the torch and nominate others
Last year our supporters raised over £15k. We know that with a little ingenuity we can top it this year!
