What we are doing?
This Code is an important document that will shape how decisions are made about the inclusion of trans people. We are carefully reviewing the full 300-page document as quickly as possible, so that we can share a thoughtful response and clear guidance with our community as soon as we are able.

“When the Supreme Court blocks laws meant to protect our rights, the political and media landscape becomes hyper-fixated on policing the sex and gender of young people. They weaponize the rhetoric of ‘equity’ and ‘protection’, but the reality on the ground is that a child is left fearing something as basic as using their school bathroom. This ruling does not protect women, and it does not protect children. It protects the institutional egos and power dynamics of a governing class that expects young women and trans youth to passively accept whatever top-down decisions are handed down to them. It creates a patronizing environment where personal autonomy is treated as an illusion, and those in power pull the strings while expecting the community to smile and play along. I am fortunate to be in a position where I can navigate and provide my own care, but my profound outrage is for the children whose hands are completely tied. They are caught in a hostile political crossfire they should not have to understand, let alone defend themselves against. Children and yes, that fundamentally includes trans children, should be allowed to focus on school exams and being kids, not fighting for the right to their own existence. A child’s identity belongs to them alone. It is time for policymakers to keep their hands off it, respect our autonomy, and honour the core principle: No decision about us without us.”
