Ian is a professor at the University of Strathclyde. He is a psychologist and educationalist and chairs the Scottish Council of Deans of Education (2018-2020).
Ian works internationally and is best known for his work on understanding and combating homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. Ian is also an honorary member of LGBT Youth Scotland. He is currently a member of the First Minister’s Task Force on Gender Equality in Education and Learning.
